Tatara Systems’ E.Y. Snowden Elected to CTIA Board of Directors

10/07/2009 - ACTON, MA - Tatara Systems, the leader in SIP-based femtocell convergence, today announced that E.Y. Snowden, Tatara Systems’ president and CEO, has been elected to the 2010 Board of Directors for CTIA – The Wireless Association®. CTIA is the Washington, D.C.-based international industry trade group representing all wireless communication sectors including cellular, personal communication services and enhanced specialized mobile radio.
 
Snowden is rejoining the CTIA Board of Directors, having served three consecutive terms from 2005 to 2007 as a director and as a member of the Executive Committee of the CTIA Board in his previous executive capacity with Boston Communications Group, Inc. (BCGI).
 
As a seasoned veteran and leader in the wireless communications industry, having managed both carrier and vendor organizations, his career has focused on the creation of innovative services and solutions that have helped spur the rapid growth and evolution of wireless communications. Snowden, still at the forefront of innovation, has led Tatara’s transition from a Mobile Broadband data card convergence solution provider to the industry leader for SIP-based network integration in the high-growth femtocell space. With recent awards of significant femtocell deployments and trials, Tatara’s success is accelerating and the company is positioned to play a vital role in the way mobile networks adapt from legacy circuit switches to all-IP 3rd and 4th generation architectures.
